Dr. John Bailey, FluteCHILDREN’S CONCERT (for over 1100 students)   Program: With Christopher Stanichar as host and conductor “HERE’S THE STORY…”: Featuring Programmatic Music NISO presents an exciting concert featuring great symphonic music performed by the orchestra, a virtuoso flutist, and a memorable presentation of Grand Canyon Suite by Ferde Grofé. The orchestra demonstrates the intentions of different composers who have composed programmatic symphonic music. The Grand Canyon Suite was performed in honor of the centennial of the National Park Service and slides of the Grand Canyon were included in the presentation.
